High-quality optical protective glass with a diameter of 30 mm and a thickness of 5 mm (JGS1 Fused Silica) is a key lower protective element used in fiber laser heads. Positioned directly above the cutting nozzle, this glass acts as a barrier that protects expensive focusing lenses from dust, smoke, and intense spatter of molten metal generated in the CNC cutting zone. Thanks to its optimal thickness of 5 mm and the perfect structure of the quartz, this component exhibits excellent mechanical strength and stability under high pressure from auxiliary gases.
The use of advanced, multi-layer anti-reflective (AR) coatings with a high optical damage threshold reduces energy absorption to an absolute minimum. This prevents thermal lensing, eliminating the risk of focus drift and ensuring a stable cutting line when operating at powers up to 6,000 W. This standard is fully compatible with the extremely popular fiber heads from Raytools (BM111 and BM114 series), WSX, Bodor, Gweike, and many others.
